British intelligence explained how Russia plans to hold Russian presidential elections on March 15-17, 2024 in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
The Central Election Commission of Russia announced that voting in the Russian presidential elections in March 2024 will also be held in the occupied Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine.
British intelligence writes about this in its review on December 17.
“As in the case of regional elections, it is almost certain that voting in the presidential elections in Russian-controlled regions will be neither free nor fair,” says the British Ministry of Defense.
Russian authorities view getting the “right” results in these regions as a priority as they want to give a sense of legitimacy to the Russian invasion.
“The Russian administration will almost certainly use methods including significant election fraud and voter intimidation to ensure Russian President Vladimir Putin wins in the regions by significant margins,” British intelligence officials believe.
Recall that the presidential “elections” in Russia will last three whole days – March 15-17, 2024. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has already announced his participation in the presidential elections. Note that this will be his fifth term.
