British Foreign Minister urged allies to abandon gas from Russia

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said during a meeting of the G7 Foreign Ministers that the allied democracies should give up Russian gas.

– The countries of the free world made decisions … to get cheap energy and funding in the short term. But in the long run, this comes at a cost to freedom and democracy. And we cannot repeat this mistake again, Truss said.

She also stressed that a military strike by the Russian Federation against Ukraine would be its strategic mistake and would have serious consequences for the Kremlin.
