British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss arrived in Moscow on an official visit. This was announced by the British Embassy in Russia on its Twitter page.
The British Embassy said that Truss will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the situation in Ukraine.
Earlier it became known that the visit of the Minister of Britain will last two days. It was reported that Truss intends to discuss with Lavrov ways to resolve the crisis in Ukraine. Before the flight, Truss again mentioned the possibility of imposing anti-Russian sanctions in the event of an escalation of the conflict between Moscow and Kiev.
Truss had previously planned to visit Moscow in early February, but the trip was postponed due to a positive test result for COVID-19. The minister observed the regime of self-isolation and worked from home.
