UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said that from December 15, passengers arriving in the country will be able to reduce the mandatory quarantine period from 14 to five days, subject to a negative coronavirus test.
This is stated in the message of the British Department of Transport.
It is noted that those arriving in the country will be able to take a test at the place of self-isolation or in a private clinic.
“Passengers arriving in the country by plane, ferry or train must book a test before travel, fill out a special form (on the government's website) and remain in self-isolation for the first five days after arrival and before taking the test,” – said in Britain.
Earlier in Britain, the total number of detected cases of COVID-19 exceeded 1.5 million.
