Britain removes service dogs from Afghanistan

by alex

Great Britain has removed all of its service dogs from Afghanistan. Writes about this edition of the Daily Mail.

Former commando of the British Royal Marines Pen Farthing removed about 200 dogs and cats from Afghanistan. At the same time, some military outraged this approach of Britain, saying that the authorities should have made more efforts to save people, not animals.

The Daily Mail emphasizes that, unlike the United States, the British side managed to save the animals. According to animal welfare charity American Humane, the United States has abandoned dozens of service dogs in Afghanistan. The organization condemned the “death warrant” that the US actually signed on the abandoned animals. It is alleged that now they may face bullying by representatives of the Taliban terrorist movement ( prohibited in the Russian Federation ).

At the same time, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the reports that the US military left service dogs at the airport during the evacuation from Afghanistan are erroneous. “The US troops did not leave any dogs in cages at Hamid Karzai International Airport, including the alleged military service dogs,” he stressed.
