British aid in the form of lethal weapons will more than double.
On Thursday, March 24, during a meeting of NATO and G7 leaders in Brussels, the UK government intends to announce a “big new military support package” for Ukraine in its opposition to Russian aggression.

The support package will include 6,000 missiles for anti-tank and high-explosive weapons, as well as 25 million pounds sterling ($33 million) in financial support for the Ukrainian military.
This will more than double British aid in the form of lethal weapons.
The UK has previously provided the Ukrainian Armed Forces with more than 4,000 anti-tank weapons, including NLAW systems and Javelin missiles. The British government is also supplying Starstreak high-speed anti-aircraft missiles to help Ukrainians defend themselves against aerial bombardment and helping with ammunition – body armor, helmets and boots.
“We cannot and will not stand by while Russia erases Ukrainian cities to dust. The United Kingdom will work with our allies to increase military and economic support for Ukraine, strengthening its defenses as they turn the tide in this fight,” said Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
He also stressed that Putin has already failed in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian people have shown themselves to be extremely brave and persistent in defending their homeland.
Recall, on Wednesday, March 23, US President Joe Biden arrived in Brussels for emergency talks with European leaders on the war in Ukraine. The American leader has plans for additional anti-Russian sanctions.
