British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that NATO intends to honor all agreements signed with Russia and will strive to maintain an equal and strong relationship. Quoted by TASS.

Wallace also denied the alliance's desire to “divide and rule” over Russia.

According to the minister, the talks also discussed topics of improving bilateral relations and confidence-building measures between Moscow and London. According to Wallace, representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance want to dispel the doubts of the Russian side that NATO is “something more than a defensive alliance.”

He also promised that British troops sent to Ukraine to train local troops would soon return to the United Kingdom. According to the minister, British weapons in Ukraine cannot threaten a neighboring state until that state invades the country.
