British Prime Minister Boris Johnson commented on the West's decision to disconnect Russia from the SWIFT international payment system, TASS writes.
Johnson called the disconnection of the Russian Federation from SWIFT the first step towards its exclusion from the global financial system.
Earlier it was reported that Western countries agreed to disconnect Russian banks from SWIFT. The German Cabinet clarified that banks that were under sanctions would be excluded. Also, “if necessary”, the list of credit institutions can be expanded.
Oleg Matveychev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, said that the topic of Russia's disconnection from SWIFT is a propaganda bogeyman.
