The British government announced the visit of the Minister of Defense of the Kingdom Ben Wallace to Moscow. According to Downing Street, he will arrive in the Russian capital on 11 February. About it writes RIA Novosti.

“The Minister of Foreign Affairs [Lise Truss] is in Moscow today, and the Minister of Defense will arrive there tomorrow for talks with his colleagues. They will stress that the only way forward for Russia is to end its aggressive hybrid warfare campaign and engage in constructive negotiations.

It is noted that earlier Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu invited his British counterpart to hold talks in Moscow. So he responded to his invitation to hold a meeting in London. The head of the Russian defense department recalled that the last time the parties met in this way was in 2013 at the talks of the heads of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense in the 2 + 2 format.

Earlier it was reported about the preparation of the visit of the head of the British Ministry of Defense Ben Wallace, which should take place in February, but the exact date was unknown. It is assumed that the upcoming talks will have an “anti-crisis theme”, during which they will develop the ideas voiced during the conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
