The head of British military intelligence, General Jim Hockenhull, accused Russia of contradicting its statements, while pulling troops to the borders with Ukraine. He did not provide any evidence for his statement. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
“We see no evidence that Russia is withdrawing troops from the Ukrainian border. Contrary to its claims, Russia continues to build up its military capabilities near the border of Ukraine, this includes positions for additional armored vehicles, as well as helicopters and field hospitals, which are heading towards the Ukrainian border, ”the general said, adding that there are already a large number of Russian military forces.
Earlier, the European Parliament (EP) pointed to the economic problems of Ukraine and blamed them on Russia, which allegedly threatens the country, this is stated in the text of the decision of the legislature to provide financial assistance to Kiev. According to the document, concern amid the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border, which has been growing since the fall of 2021, has had an impact on the economy of Ukraine.
