Brigitte Macron went into self-isolation after contact with infected COVID-19
The wife of the President of France Brigitte Macron went into self-isolation for a week. According to Europe 1, the first lady contacted a man on October 15 who later tested positive for COVID-19.
In accordance with the recommendations of the French sanitary authorities, the 67-year-old wife of the president should spend seven days in isolation.
Note that last week in France, a record number of coronavirus cases per day was recorded – 30 thousand cases. More than 6,500 patients with coronavirus have been admitted to hospitals in the country in a week. The total number of infected in France was 809 thousand.
Earlier, the President of Germany Walter Steinmeier was forced to quarantine for coronavirus. COVID-19 was found on one of his guards. Due to the quarantine, the president canceled his participation in the presentation of the traditional Peace Prize for German booksellers, which took place on October 18 at the international Frankfurt Book Fair.
