Breivik asked to release it ahead of schedule

by alex

Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik asked the court for parole. Reported by Reuters.

The convicted person received the right to file a petition, since he had already served eight years. In addition, Breivik intends to sue the authorities, as, in his opinion, being in solitary confinement violates the rights

Earlier it was reported that Breivik sent out several dozen letters to different people and the media: he wanted a book to be written about him. The terrorist wants to transfer the rights to publish a book, film or interview – he himself estimates their cost at 86 million kroons (almost $ 9.7 million).

In 2018, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) dismissed Breivik's complaint about prison conditions in Norway. A committee of three judges ruled that “the prisoner's treatment is unacceptable due to false grounds”, the terrorist himself considered such a conclusion inhuman.

While in prison, the criminal managed to change his name – now his official name is Fjotolf Hansen.

On July 22, 2011, the Norwegian committed two attacks. First, he set off an explosion in the government quarter of Oslo – eight people were killed. After that, the offender went to the youth camp of the ruling Norwegian Workers' Party on the island of Utoya, where he shot another 69 people. He repented of his actions only in February 2018, but some of his statements were considered manipulation.
