In Russia, in St. Petersburg, a 6-year-old boy died in a private dental clinic. The Russian IC opened a criminal case.
This was reported on Friday, December 10, on the website of the regional IC.
Doctors decided to introduce the boy into general anesthesia during dental treatment. This was done with parental consent. Before that, the child was examined and no developmental abnormalities were found and they decided to give him general anesthesia, REN TV reported.
“He almost immediately stopped breathing. The doctors could not help the child, the boy died on the spot,” – said in the message.
A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under paragraph 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements). The maximum punishment under article of the Criminal Code of Russia provides for imprisonment for up to six years.
A man died in Vinnitsa, who was in intensive care after he had a tooth healed.
