Technological Institute of Parana (Tecpar) will soon turn to the Russian manufacturer of the vaccine against coronavirus for documentation preparation, which is necessary for testing and certification in Brazil. About this TASS said the head of civil office of the Governor of Parana Guto Silva.
According to him, Tecpar has relevant scientific and industrial base to conduct laboratory tests of the Russian vaccine and its links with research networks will allow to carry out research at the Federal level. Silva noted that the state of paraná plans to become a center of distribution of the drug throughout Brazil, and the authorities support it.
Earlier, the Russian Ambassador in Brazil Sergei Akopov has informed that government of Parana has shown interest to the Russian vaccine against coronavirus. According to him, Brazil are not only interested in the acquisition of the drug, but also its joint development, testing and manufacture on the territory of the country.
On 11 August it became known about the first Russian vaccine against the coronavirus. This was announced by President Vladimir Putin, stressing that Russia became the first country in the world to develop and register such drug.
In circulation, the vaccine will be available in January 2021. It is expected that it will be called “Satellite V” and provide immunity to the coronavirus in the past two years.
