Around 50 Dutch and 50 Styrians were involved in the fight and damaged the pub furniture.
Around 50 Dutch and 50 Styrians clashed in a pub on Färberplatz on Wednesday evening, presumably because of the upcoming match between Sturm Graz and PSV Eindhoven. During the scuffle, the furniture and glass panes of the restaurant were destroyed and there were four arrests – partly because the men defended themselves against the intervening police, the police said on Thursday.
The Dutch and Styrians, who are supposed to be close to the respective clubs, got into a violent argument around 9:30 p.m. The police were called and all available patrols intervened at Färberplatz in the city center. Two Dutchmen were arrested for resisting state power, one from Styria and another from the Netherlands for administrative offenses. In addition, it placed several advertisements for administrative violations, police spokesman Fritz Grundnig confirmed according to media reports.
