American heavyweight boxer Danny Kelly was killed in a car in front of his family. Reported by BoxingScene.
The 30-year-old athlete was killed in a shootout on the road. He was driving with a friend and three children to a festive event when a car stopped nearby and an unknown person opened fire.
The police found the boxer unconscious in the driver's seat. The medics were unable to save Kelly. It is noted that the passengers of the car were not injured.
The tragedy took place on December 25 in Maryland, USA, but the incident became known only two days later. The police are investigating the murder.
Kelly retired in October 2019. In the last fight, he knocked out Nick Kisner in the second round. In total, the boxer had ten victories, of which nine by knockout, and three defeats.
