Borrell called the Russians a “great people”: Danilov's tough response

by alex

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that after the war, Russia will not disappear anywhere, and he called the Russians “a great people.” The head of the National Security and Defense Council, Alexei Danilov, explained what such statements mean.

Borrell, in an interview with Current Time, said that the Russians also suffer from the war. He says that we need to think about who will represent Russia next.

Russia will not disappear. Russia is a great people. We have nothing against the Russians, they are also suffering from this war, they are losing their lives,” the diplomat said.

He added that the Russians are losing economic opportunities and well-being. Therefore, according to him, we need to work to restore peace and security in Europe.

Danilov's reaction

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov explained what such a position means. In fact, this is a removal of responsibility from the Russians.

Unfortunately, the position of a respected European politician that “Russia is a great people” is an invitation to continue killing, Danilov emphasized.

He added that Putin is the personification of this people, until the uprising proves otherwise. It should be clearly understood that the Russians are responsible for the war.

Danilov emphasized that such signals are a sign of weakness and an incentive for crimes.
