Boris Johnson declared Britain's ineradicable love for France

by alex

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said his country has a love for France.

According to him, the British side is seeking to improve relations with the French after the scandal over the AUKUS deal and the termination of the contract for the supply of French submarines to Australia.

Earlier, the United States, Britain and Australia announced the formation of a new security partnership AUKUS. According to American leader Joe Biden, the purpose of such an alliance is to ensure “peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.”

– We are definitely very proud of our relationship with France. Our love for France is ineradicable, – Johnson told reporters on the way to New York, quoted by Bloomberg.

Earlier, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said that France did not recall the ambassador from Great Britain in connection with the recent situation with Australia. He explained this by the fact that the French side knows the opportunist policy of this country.
