The publication notes that The Mail on Sunday spoke with several MPs from the Conservative Party who believe that the return of the former prime minister -Minister Boris Johnson is the only way to save the party from election defeat.
Journalists write that the Conservatives are being pushed to change the head of the party after Rishi Sunak faced a bitter vote on his major migrant plan for Rwanda.
Johnson may return to parliament if someone gives him his seat. After this, it will be necessary to collect 53 signatures for a letter of no confidence in Sunak.
Johnson's speaker responded to this information. He said that Johnson has no political ambitions and denies the existence of any plans to team up with Farage (the current leader of the Brexit Party – ed.).
“Boris Johnson is now writing a book and supporting the government,” the speaker said.
Recall that on July 7, 2022, Boris Johnson resigned from the post of Prime Minister and leader of the Conservative Party.
