British Prime Minister Boris Johnson congratulated US Democratic candidate Joe Biden on his victory in the presidential election. He wrote about this on his Twitter account.
“Congratulations to Joe Biden on his election as US President and Kamala Harris on her historic achievement,” he wrote.
The politician called the United States the most important ally of Great Britain. He added that he looks forward to working together “on our shared priorities, from climate change to trade and security.”
Earlier, Biden issued a statement, he thanked voters for their trust. “After the end of the campaign, it's time to leave the anger and harsh rhetoric behind and unite as a nation,” said the Democrat.
Biden will become the 46th President of the United States. At the end of November he will turn 78 years old, he will be the oldest American leader, wrote CNN.
