British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken posted videos in support of Ukraine on their pages.
– The United States, as well as allies and partners, are united with Ukraine. We call on the Russian Federation to de-escalate and resolve the situation through diplomatic means. The Ukrainian territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country must be protected–” Blinken said in a comment to his video on Twitter.
The 40-second video shows representatives of the allied countries, as well as their quotes in support of Ukraine with a call to Russia for immediate de-escalation.
Meanwhile, in Johnson’s video, which lasts 1.3 minutes, the British Prime Minister talks about the threat of a large-scale attack by Russian troops on Ukraine.
He also talks about what steps the UK government has taken to deter the Kremlin’s actions.
– The borders of Ukraine are threatened by about 125,000 Russian military. There is a very real prospect of an imminent and sudden attack, an invasion of an even larger Ukrainian territory than it happened in 2014–” Boris Johnson explained.
He urged Putin not to make a catastrophic mistake.
“We are working together with friends and partners to ensure a very, very powerful package of economic sanctions that will be imposed as soon as the boot of the first Russian soldier sets foot on another part of the sovereign territory of Ukraine,” Boris Johnson said.
He also expressed support for the people of Ukraine, as well as for Ukrainian independence and territorial integrity.
