Skier Bolshunov on silver in the mass start of the Tour de Ski: a little bit of fastening failed

Russian skier Alexander Bolshunov, on Match TV, commented on the silver medal in the 15 km freestyle mass start as part of the second stage of the Tour de Ski race in Oberstdorf, Germany.
“The only negative today: a little bit of fastening failed. Already on the first lap, the thrust bearings broke. It was very difficult to pass all the slopes. When they are broken, it is twice as hard to pass them, ”the athlete explained the defeat. He added that the Norwegian Johannes Klebo managed to win thanks to his finish.
Earlier on December 31, Bolshunov won a silver medal in the 15 km freestyle mass start at the Tour de Ski stage in Oberstdorf. The winner was Klebo. He covered the distance in 32 minutes and 26.4 seconds. The Russian finished second, 13.4 seconds away. Norwegian Shur Rete finished third, four seconds back.
Another Russian finished in the top ten. Ivan Yakimushkin took tenth place.
