According to Blinken, $50 billion will be transferred in the coming weeks from both the US and Europe.
Frozen Russian assets in the amount of $50 billion will be transferred to Ukraine in the coming weeks from both the US and Europe.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this during a press conference in Brussels on December 4, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“We have now managed, using frozen Russian assets, to allocate $50 billion to Ukraine, which will be transferred in the coming weeks from both the United States and Europe, and which will provide Ukraine with financial support for the next year,” Blinken said.
He added that Ukraine needs money and resources to support the economy and defense.
“Ammunition, everything related to this, be it air defense, missiles or armored vehicles. We are working very decisively to make sure that Ukraine has what it needs for many months to come. The United States is doing everything we can,” Blinken said.
Recall that it was previously reported that by the end of the current President Joe Biden's term, the United States will transfer aid to Ukraine in the full amount of $61 billion, which was approved by Congress.
