Rapid, blue and white Linz
Blau Weiß Linz storms to the top of the table in the 2nd division. The Stahlstädter finished Rapid II with 5: 2 in the 23rd round.
With this, the Upper Austrians also took the lead in the table, with one game less than two points ahead of Lafnitz. However, blue and white are not allowed to move up, the Linz team had not applied for a Bundesliga license.
Man of the game in the green and white alternative quarters in Wiener Neustadt was Fabian Schubert, who tied a three-pack against the Hütteldorfer offspring (34th, 61st, 67th). Nicolas Wimmer had equalized the lead of Steffen Hofmann's team through Oliver Strunz (30th) in the 32nd minute. Turgay Gemicibasi made it 5-1 in the 77th minute, before Benjamin Kanuric sank a deflected free kick to make it 2-5 (88th).
While the Linzers laugh from the top of the table, the Hütteldorfer stay as penultimate only because of the goal difference in front of bottom Horn.
The GAK celebrated a 3-0 home win against Juniors OÖ. Lukas Gabbichler (14th), Martin Harrer (38th) and an own goal by Erwin Softic (80th) kept the Styrians in the ascent race. As sixth in the table, Graz are six points behind Austria Klagenfurt, the top-ranked club that has been granted a Bundesliga license. The Upper Austrians remain in ninth place.
