The well-known “Black Friday Sale” will start in Austria on Thursday at 7:00 pm. Thousands of products from well-known online retailers are offered on www.blackfridaysale.at. The retail sector expects a double-digit growth rate again this year.
Despite the challenging situation due to Corona, significant growth is also expected at the end of November this year. “The online retailers will benefit from this,” explains Konrad Kreid, Managing Director of Black Friday GmbH.
The searches for “Black Friday Sale” have increased by over 20 percent compared to the previous year. According to a survey carried out in November, around 85 percent are already planning to shop on the Black Friday sale. Around 39 percent will spend more than 300 euros, almost 5 percent of which will be more than 1,000 euros.
Many consumers will shop more consciously at the Black Friday 2020 sale. “35 percent of those surveyed said they were paying more attention to the price. Many shoppers will use the event to specifically buy Christmas gifts,” Kreid continued.
“Logistics companies are currently in great demand. This is why many consumers are considering doing their Christmas shopping early. This way, they want to avoid delivery problems just before December 24th,” continues Kreid.
