Bill Gates told which phone he prefers to use

Earlier, Microsoft founder Bill Gates spoke about the preferences of the Android platform on gadgets. Speaking to CNBC journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin on the Clubhouse app, Gates explained why. According to the philanthropist, it all comes down to the fact that Android manufacturers are “more flexible” in terms of software integration.

Gates added that he prefers Android, but keeps the iPhone nearby.

“Actually, I use an Android phone. Since I want to keep an eye on everything, I often play with iPhones, but the one I carry with me ends up on Android. Some Android manufacturers pre-install Microsoft software in a way that is easy for me. They are more flexible about how software connects to the operating system. That's what I ended up getting used to, ”Gates said.

Sorkin wondered if Gates's preferences had changed over the years, given that the conversation was conducted using an iOS-only app.

Also, in an interview with a journalist, Gates spoke about bitcoin, which he never invested in and considers it too environmentally friendly, since mining requires a lot of energy. And he hoped for a closer collaboration on climate projects with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

In late 2020, Gates launched a project to save the planet from global warming. Scientists at Harvard University, as part of the SCoPEx project to combat the effects of global warming, are ready to begin testing the method of blocking sunlight in the coming years.

And in mid-February, the Microsoft founder urged rich countries to produce synthetic beef to save the planet.
