Microsoft founder and charity co-chairman Bill Gates has promised more bad news about the coronavirus in the next six months. The Daily Beast reports.
“In winter, when it is colder, the virus multiplies faster, because we spend more time indoors, so this is not good. It also creates a certain amount of fatigue: some of the things that people have to do, like staying away from friends, are harder to do, ”Gates said.
The entrepreneur expressed confidence that the news will be mostly bad over the next six to eight months. After that, he said, the volume of vaccine production will increase and “there will be light at the end of the tunnel.” In addition, Gates once again denied conspiracy theories about his interest in a pandemic in order to chip humanity.
Earlier, Bill Gates questioned the effectiveness of some coronavirus vaccines being developed in the United States. In his opinion, the situation will stabilize by the summer of 2021, when the United States will be able to produce sufficient volumes of vaccine to ensure “a significant reduction in the death rate.”
After the first cases of infection in the Chinese city of Wuhan, conspiracy theories spread about Gates' involvement in the creation of the virus. According to the version popular on the network, the coronavirus is patented by the Pirbright Institute, which is partially funded by the founder of the Microsoft Corporation.
