Bill Gates compared iOS and Android

Microsoft founder Bill Gates named the best mobile operating system in his opinion. This is reported by the GeekWire edition.

On February 24, the billionaire took part in a live broadcast on the Clubhouse app, where he was invited by journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin. In particular, the speakers discussed the new application, noting that at the moment Clubhouse is available only on the iPhone. When asked whether Gates uses Apple smartphones on an ongoing basis, the entrepreneur answered negatively.

Bill Gates also compared iOS and Android, noting that he prefers devices based on the latest operating system. “Some manufacturers of Android smartphones pre-install software from Microsoft, and this makes my life easier,” – said the founder of the IT corporation. The entrepreneur also noted that Microsoft's apps work more seamlessly with Google's OS.

The speaker stressed that he is already used to Android phones. “A lot of my friends have iPhones,” Gates admitted, noting that the question of choosing the best OS remains controversial.

Later, Clubhouse co-founder Paul Davison joined the dialogue between Sorkin and Gates. He said that in the future, an Android version will be released for the application, which is now being actively worked on.

Also during the Clubhouse session, Gates warned investors against buying bitcoin. He said that the volatility of the digital currency is too great, so there is a risk of losing serious funds when buying it. “If you have less money than Elon [Musk], you probably need to be careful,” Bill Gates joked.
