The Michigan State Audit Commission, which won the presidential candidate 16 electoral votes, confirmed the leadership of Democratic candidate Joe Biden. Reported by the Associated Press.
Four members of the commission certified the results of voting in the presidential elections in this state, according to which a Democrat won. In favor of the certification of the election results, two commissioners from the Democratic Party and one representative of the Republican Party spoke out. The second Republican representative abstained from voting.
Biden edged ahead of rival incumbent President Donald Trump by 2.8 percentage points, more than other states where the American leader contested the results, such as Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
On November 20, the results of the Georgia recount of votes cast in the US presidential election confirmed the victory of candidate Biden. More than five million ballots were reprocessed in all 159 counties in the state. The Republican got 2,462,857 votes, Biden – 2,475,141.
