Anthony Blinken
Member of the team of the President-elect of the United States Joseph Biden, candidate for Secretary of State Anthony Blinken supported the supply of American weapons to Ukraine after the inauguration. He stated this in Congress at a hearing on his candidacy for the post, TASS reports.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov predicted “pumping Ukraine with American weapons” in the event that Democrat Biden comes to power. He called the supply of weapons to Kiev “a game with a deeply anti-Russian character,” while Ukraine is unable to cope with its own needs on its own and is increasingly moving away from international agreements.
In December 2020, it was reported that US arms deliveries to Ukraine were record high. So, over the past year, Washington sold weapons to Kiev in the amount of $ 510.5 million, which is almost twice the amount for 2019.
