Biden's policy towards Ukraine remains unchanged and aims to strengthen Ukraine's position on the battlefield

Until the end of his presidential term, Joe Biden will actively call for support for Ukraine.

This was announced by Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan in an interview with CBS News.

Sullivan emphasized that Biden's policy towards Ukraine remains unchanged and is aimed at strengthening Ukraine's position on the battlefield, as well as in negotiations. He also noted that the administration will use all the resources Congress has allocated for military assistance to Ukraine before Biden's term ends.

“When President Zelenskyy was here in Washington a few months ago, President Biden assured us that we would spend all the resources Congress has authorized on time and in full. That means that by January 20th, we will send Ukraine the full amount of resources and assistance that Congress has authorized. And, of course, President Biden will have the opportunity over the next 70 days to make the case to Congress and the new administration that the United States should not leave Ukraine, that leaving Ukraine would mean greater instability in Europe,” Sullivan emphasized.

Sullivan declined to discuss the details of possible legislative initiatives to fund these measures.

“President Biden will argue that we need permanent resources for Ukraine after its term expires, because the threat to Ukraine will remain regardless of what exactly happens on the battlefield or at the negotiating table,” the US National Security Advisor noted.

Recall that the West is ready to hold Trump responsible for the “dirty agreement” regarding Ukraine. Western countries are secretly happy that Trump will relieve them of responsibility for Ukraine, according to the publication's columnist Max Hastings.
