US President Joe Biden will soon ask Congress for emergency funding of $11.7 billion. for military and budgetary assistance to Ukraine.
This request will also include $2 billion. to eliminate the consequences of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which affected the supply of energy to the United States.

Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget Shalanda Young clarified that the request for $ 11.7 billion. concerns specifically the additional assistance planned for the next financial year (starts October 1, 2022). Money is urgently needed, because the remainder of the $40 billion package adopted in May enough only until the end of September.
“President Biden has made it clear that the United States intends to continue to support the people of Ukraine in defending their sovereignty. To fulfill this commitment and meet urgent needs, we ask 11, $7 billion in security and economic assistance in the first quarter of fiscal year 2023,” Young said.
She added that approximately 75% of direct military and budget support, allocated earlier by Congress for Ukraine.
Recall, on August 31, the White House announced that in the coming days the United States would announce another portion of military assistance to Ukraine.
