Biden will ask Congress for almost $12 billion emergency for Ukraine

US President Joe Biden will soon ask Congress for emergency funding of $11.7 billion. for military and budgetary assistance to Ukraine.

Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget Shalanda Young clarified that the request for $ 11.7 billion. concerns specifically the additional assistance planned for the next financial year (starts October 1, 2022). Money is urgently needed, because the remainder of the $40 billion package adopted in May enough only until the end of September.

“President Biden has made it clear that the United States intends to continue to support the people of Ukraine in defending their sovereignty.
