After that, the Republicans sitting in the stands began to whistle with displeasure, while the Democrats supported the American leader with placards reading “We love Joe.”
According to the newspaper, in this way the crowd expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the US Senate approved Biden's budget plan for $ 3.5 trillion, aimed at fighting poverty and protecting the environment. In particular, the plan calls for significant tax cuts for the middle class, paid parental leave, access to universal preschool education, the creation of community colleges, the fight against climate change and the expansion of health care programs. At the same time, Republicans have expressed support for a less ambitious plan of $ 1.2 trillion.
