Joe Biden
US President-elect Joe Biden urged to respond to the “challenges” from Russia and China. He announced this following a briefing with experts in the field of national security, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, the United States must adapt defense priorities against the backdrop of growing “strategic complexities” allegedly created by Russia and China.
“We talked about the different strategic challenges that we will face from Russia and China and the reforms that we need to carry out in order to meet these challenges in the strongest possible position,” he said.
Biden added that the reforms meant “renewing defense priorities.” Thus, the US intends to “better fight back aggression in the future.” According to him, the United States intends to rethink the growing threats in new areas, “such as cyberspace.”
Earlier, Biden complained about obstacles in the transfer of power from the Pentagon.
On December 15, it became known that the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden received the electoral college votes necessary to win the presidential race. The current American leader Donald Trump has repeatedly refused to admit defeat in the US presidential elections. He believes Biden lost the election “by a wide margin in all six wavering states,” and the results were rigged.
