Members of the US Senate Intelligence Committee called on US President Joe Biden to provide Ukraine with the maximum possible access to the country's intelligence data. The corresponding letter, which was signed by 16 people, was published on the website of the chairman of the intelligence committee, Mark Warner.

The letter was sent to the American leader. The authors of the initiative believe that this is necessary in connection with the “building up of Russian military power on the border with Ukraine.” It is noted that Kiev should be provided with tools that will be useful for “repelling or protecting against further Russian aggression.”

“Russia is the aggressor, and we need to arm Ukraine with critical information needed for self-defense,” the letter says.

Senators believe that giving Kiev maximum access to US intelligence is in the national security interests of the United States and allies in Europe. “Russia's threat to Ukraine is a threat to democracies around the world,” they said.

In recent months, statements about a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine have been increasingly heard in Kiev and in the West. Zelensky himself answered questions about this ambivalently: the president urged Ukrainians not to panic, but at the same time stated that Moscow could capture Kharkov, protecting the Russian-speaking population of the country.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that in reality there are no signs of Russian invasion, and the information background around the republic has been actively pumped up lately.
