US President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden expressed deeper condolences to the families of all those killed and injured in the helicopter crash in Brovary.

“Jill and I extend our deepest condolences to the families of all those killed in the tragic helicopter crash in Ukraine this morning, including Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky and other senior Ukrainian government officials. Our hearts go out to the dozens of civilians who were killed or injured, including including precious children and their families We mourn together with all those who mourn this terrible tragedy, today we pray for healing for the wounded and comfort for those who have lost loved ones , — the message says.
In a statement, the American leader noted that the deceased “Monastyrsky and his team were deeply involved in preserving democracy in Ukraine – both in protecting it from Russian aggression, and in the vital work of reforms to strengthen Ukrainian institutions in this war and in the future.” He called the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “a reformer and patriot who defends the will of the Ukrainian people.”
Biden also assured that the United States stands with the people of Ukraine “in the face of this tragedy and will continue to support until then until it is needed”.
Plane crash in Brovary: what is known
A plane crash occurred in Brovary in the Kyiv region on the morning of January 18. At about 8:30 a helicopter crashed near the kindergarten, on board with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Due to the fall of the State Emergency Service helicopter, 14 people died, including one child. Victims include Minister Denis Monastyrsky, Secretary of State Yuriy Lubkovich and First Deputy Minister Yevgeny Yenin.
