Joe Biden

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden took the lead for the first time in race-defining Georgia, ahead of incumbent President Donald Trump. Reported by CNN.

Both candidates now receive 49.4 percent of the vote, but Biden is only 917 votes ahead of Trump. Georgia, with 16 electors, is one of four states that can determine the outcome of the US presidential election. Until the winner has been identified there, 99 percent of the votes have been counted. At the same time, Trump will not be able to collect the 270 electoral votes necessary for re-election without victories in Georgia and Pennsylvania.

Earlier it was reported that Biden could announce his victory in the elections on November 6. The US Secret Service has dispatched additional agents to Wilmington, Delaware, due to Biden's alleged speech there. It is known that the candidate's headquarters told about the democrat's readiness to “make an important statement.”

In total, at the moment, Biden has at least 253 electoral votes, Trump has 213. Despite the fact that the final results of the presidential election are not yet, Trump immediately congratulated his voters on the victory. Biden's headquarters have also repeatedly expressed confidence in victory.
