On the anniversary of his inauguration as the head of the American state, on January 20, US President Joe Biden named, in his opinion, the main achievements over the past 12 months. The politician wrote about this on Twitter.
Among them, he named the full vaccination of 210 million Americans, 96 percent of schools open to study despite the pandemic, the creation of 6.4 million new jobs, an unemployment rate of 3.9 percent and the fact that five million citizens received health insurance.
“We’ve had a historic first year — and we’re going to continue to build on our progress in the years to come,” Biden added.
Earlier it became known that, according to the Morning Consult company, Joe Biden’s disapproval rating reached a record high of 56 percent, making him one of the most unpopular presidents of the country in history. Despite the fact that Biden won a record number of votes during the 2021 elections, at the moment his rating is rapidly falling.
Konstantin Kalachev, the head of the Political Expert Group, also gave an assessment of the first year of Biden’s presidency. According to the expert, the American leader has demonstrated success in international politics by establishing relations with the allies lost under his predecessor. At the same time, Biden’s rating inside the United States is really falling, Kalachev added.
