US President Joe Biden joked in response to a journalist's question about the content of his conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the C-SPAN TV channel.
“About you. He sends his best wishes, ”Biden said.
Earlier, Biden and Putin spoke on the phone about “problematic issues” in bilateral relations. During the conversation, the leaders of the two countries touched upon the issue of US support for Ukraine's sovereignty, the problem of the SolarWinds hack and reports of Russians allegedly offering rewards for the lives of American soldiers in Afghanistan. They also expressed satisfaction with the exchange of notes on the extension of the Treaty on the Reduction of Strategic Offensive Arms (START-3).
