Biden is going to buy one hundred million doses of vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna

US President Joe Biden is going to buy hundreds of millions of doses of coronavirus vaccines each from Pfizer and Moderna. This was reported by NBC News, citing a senior official in the new administration.

According to him, the purchase of vaccines will ensure vaccinations for almost all Americans by the end of this summer. It is noted that at the moment the companies have already supplied about 400 million doses of their drugs.

Earlier, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) changed vaccination guidelines to allow patients to mix different coronavirus vaccines. Under the new guidelines, patients will be able to swap one US-approved COVID-19 drug for another between two doses in “exceptional situations.”
