The American leader returned to Washington from a business trip to Delaware. The footage shows how the agent directed him to enter the White House along a special path, and he himself walked forward through the grass. However, the politician did not heed the recommendation and followed the security officer along the lawn.
This incident provoked a new wave of criticism against the 78-year-old Biden. Republican politicians outraged that the president got lost at the entrance to his residence, and once again questioned his cognitive abilities.
In June, the oldest US president was already required to take a cognitive test to prove that he is “mentally ready” to lead the country. Former doctor of Biden's successor as head of state Donald Trump and 13 other Republicans from the House of Representatives declared the leader's mental decline and forgetfulness, pointed to his regular “missteps” and called for the test results to be released.
