US President Joe Biden said he was disappointed by the decision of the Supreme Court, which blocked his decree on mandatory vaccination against coronavirus of employees of large companies. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the White House.

“I am disappointed that the Supreme Court has chosen to block a life-saving, reasonable requirement for the leadership of big business,” his press office quoted the president as saying. The rules were developed in accordance with the law and scientific evidence, Biden said.

Earlier, the US Supreme Court partially blocked the implementation of an executive order introduced in November 2021 by the administration of President Joe Biden requiring employees of private companies to get vaccinated against the coronavirus or be regularly tested. At the same time, the Supreme Court retained the requirement for mandatory vaccination of health care workers.
