Biden chose Trump's tactics

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden decided to start recruiting supporters according to the method of incumbent President Donald Trump, although he had previously actively criticized his opponent's tactics. Writes about this The Washington Post.

As the newspaper notes, Republicans have long begun to send their volunteers to American homes for personal conversations and campaigning. In total, Trump supporters managed to bypass about 19 million citizens. At the same time, Biden's headquarters criticized such a strategy for several months: as the Democrats stated, in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, personal contacts with agitators can be dangerous for potential voters.

However, against the backdrop of the upcoming elections, which are scheduled for early November, the Democrats decided to choose a similar tactic. As early as the coming weekend, Biden's headquarters are expected to employ several hundred volunteers who will personally visit potential voters in the states of Nevada, Michigan, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania. About six thousand more volunteers are interested in joining the Democratic campaign in the future.

In addition, Biden's headquarters began opening field offices. At the moment, the company has 109 offices in 17 states, but in the near future their number is planned to increase to 188. Trump's headquarters have already opened about 300 such offices.

Earlier it was reported that Biden was able to collect nearly ten million dollars in donations during the first debate with Trump, which took place in the auditorium of Case Western River University in Cleveland, Ohio. Also, the headquarters of the Democratic candidate began selling T-shirts with a request to shut up the current American leader, which Biden voiced during the debate.

The second debate of candidates for the presidency of the American state will be held on October 15 in Miami, Florida, the third – in Nashville, Tennessee. Presidential elections are scheduled for November 3.
