US President Joe Biden called his life in the White House “the golden cage.” The words of the American leader are quoted by the Associated Press.
“I wake up in the morning, I look at my wife Jill and say, 'Where the hell are we?'”, Biden said. The politician shared that he still cannot get used to the fact that someone is handing him a coat. Biden explained that he had visited the Oval Office more than a hundred times when he served as vice president in the administration of Barack Obama, but had never been to a residential part of the White House before. According to him, it differs significantly from the residence of the vice president.
Nevertheless, Biden assured that he had already mastered the presidency. “Sometimes because things are happening so fast, it seems like four years have passed,” he shared.
Earlier, US Vice President Kamala Harris was convicted of making phone calls with world leaders instead of the president. Media outlets note that it is strange that the vice president is establishing contacts with key world leaders just a few weeks after the arrival of the new administration. According to journalists, this calls into question Biden's ability to fulfill his duties as president.
