US President Joe Biden called the threat posed by Russia “little men in green uniforms” and cyber attacks. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The head of the American state stressed that the United States is ready to respond to such challenges. He noted that the crossing of the border of Ukraine by the Russian military is an invasion that will meet a serious economic response, as was stated to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
“Russia has a long history of using other aggressive measures that do not include military — paramilitary tactics, so—called attacks from “gray zones”, actions when Russian soldiers do not wear uniforms,” Biden added.
Earlier, the US president said that Russia would pay a high price if it decided to invade Ukraine. Washington is ready to apply sanctions in case of escalation of the conflict. The American leader said that Moscow is also waiting for severe consequences in the event of the use of non-military measures against Kiev.
