US President Joe Biden responded to rumors and assured that he would remain president until the end of his term.
He published a corresponding statement on the social network X (Twitter).
“We are the United States of America – there is nothing we cannot do if we do it together. We just have to remember who we are. I have dedicated my presidency to proving that, and I will continue to do so today, tomorrow, and every day that I have the honor of being your president,” Biden wrote.
Recall that Biden, during his isolation due to the coronavirus, announced on social media that he was leaving the presidential race. He is asking to support Kamala Harris instead.
Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson called on Biden to resign early if he does not run.
Fox News host Bret Baier, who is close to the Republicans, expressed surprise that Biden did not announce his withdrawal from the election on camera, but did so in the form of a letter and has not appeared in public since then.
