US President Biden: perhaps I will send part of the US Armed Forces to Europe because of the situation in Ukraine

US President Joe Biden will soon decide to send part of the US Armed Forces to Europe due to tensions in Ukraine. He told reporters about this, RIA Novosti reports.
“I may be sending some of these forces in the near future. Just because it takes time,” Biden said. According to the American leader, the decision to send forces will depend on the further actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Biden also stressed that the increased readiness of the US Armed Forces is not a provocation, but a necessity to support Eastern European NATO member countries that are in danger because of their proximity to Russia.
Earlier, the leaders of the UK, the US and the EU discussed an “unprecedented package of sanctions” against Russia in the event of an escalation of the conflict over Ukraine. The politicians decided that in the event of a Russian invasion of Ukraine, a punitive response should be taken, including the introduction of an “unprecedented package of sanctions.”
