Both incumbent US President Joe Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, have little chance of winning the 2024 election. This is how the Americanist Viktor Mizin assessed the situation in the US political field, the Izvestia newspaper reports.

“Although there is speculation that in the next elections the Republicans will be able to take both chambers, which is very worried about the Democrats, in fact, both American parties are now experiencing a crisis,” the scientist said. He stressed that the main problem for the Democratic Party is the lack of bright leaders. Mizin noted that Kamala Harris has the lowest VP rating in the history of the United States. He also drew attention to the fact that Biden regularly stipulates and falls asleep “both in the literal and in the political sense.”

At the same time, according to the political scientist, the Republicans also do not have a worthy candidate for the presidency. He noted that there are radical politicians in the party whose true support is unknown. “Trump, of course, would be wiser to choose an heir, since his chances are still small,” concluded Mizin. The third candidate for the presidency of the United States – a representative of the LGBT community, the former mayor of the city of South Bend Pete Buttidzic – was called dubious by the Americanist.

Earlier, Biden disclosed the condition for participation in the presidential elections in 2024. He said that if he is in the same good health condition as now, he will run again. At the same time, according to the president, Trump's participation in the elections will only increase his chances of winning.
