Biden and Putin to hold talks on December 30 – White House

US President Joe Biden will call Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 30. This was reported by the press service of the White House.

As specified, the parties will discuss a number of topics, including diplomatic relations with Russia.

– The Biden administration continues to conduct broad diplomacy with our European allies and partners, advising and coordinating a common approach in response on the build-up of Russia's military power on the border with Ukraine, – they specified in the message.

The White House stressed that the American president held talks with leaders throughout Europe, and officials of the Biden administration on a multilateral basis interacted with NATO, EU and OSCE.

– Officials have also held numerous consultations with their counterparts, including those from the eastern flank on a bilateral basis and in the B9 format, as well as Ukraine, they added in a statement.

Earlier, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that the EU wants to participate in the US-RF negotiations on Ukraine and security.

Previously, it was reported that the US and Russia are scheduled for January 10, 2022. They, as expected, should be devoted to control over nuclear weapons and increasing tensions along the borders of Ukraine.

Representatives of the Russian Federation and NATO are also expected to hold talks on January 12th.
