Biden also calls for the implementation of his plan for resolving the situation in the Middle East.

United States President Joe Biden believes that Israel has the right to respond to Iran and the Tehran-backed Hezbollah group for “malicious attacks.”

The US President stated this during a briefing on October 4.

When asked whether Israel would strike Iranian oil facilities, Biden replied that the decision had not yet been finalized.

“Israel has not yet decided what it will do in response to Iran's actions, it is under discussion. If I were in their place, I would think about other alternatives besides attacking oil facilities,” he said.

At the same time, the US President stated that Israel has every right to strike back at Iran and “Hezbollah”.

“But the fact is that they (the Israelis, – ed.) have to be much more careful about civilian casualties during military operations,” Biden said.

He added that the peace plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip received the support of the UN Security Council and the vast majority of international partners.

Recall that it was previously reported that Israel struck a Russian airbase in Syria, resulting in the destruction of an Iranian weapons shipment for Hezbollah.
